Beware: This isn’t going to be your average, run-of-the-mill blog. It’ll actually be more of an adventure in the inner-workings of Lavender Sidetrack and whatever pops up in the fields of creativity, curiosity, and the rantings of the resident Should Monster, more about that later.
What you need to know right now is that this page is an absolute experiment and need not be taken too seriously. There wasn’t going to be a Lavender Sidetrack blog, but someone who shall remain nameless thought it would be a good idea. (cough, cough we shall see about that…)
Now let’s get down to brass tacks, as someone in a three-piece suit might say with a straight face and lots of gusto. There are plenty of brass tacks around here and they say things like “why not?” and “give it a shot” across their tops. The Lavender Sidetrack philosophy is based on the idea that hobbies are good for us. Sometimes they act by letting a little steam out of the pot and other times they press the pedal to the metal while speeding down a hilly, curvy country road with the top down.
A good hobby keeps us balanced and that’s just healthy living with some bird-watching, wood-carving, or tulip breeding thrown in. Around here, you’ll find a lot of a lot. It’s kind of what we do – ask questions, imagine, push the envelope, learn, rinse, repeat.
